Un progetto che è riuscito a coinvolgere ed entusiasmare i giovani partecipanti pensato con l’obiettivo di imparare divertendosi.
Al CERCAT di Cerignola, di scena laboratori digitali, attività gratuite ed aperte ai minori sia delle scuole medie inferiori sia delle scuole medie superiori, cui hanno partecipato 28 ragazzi.
L’iniziativa rientrante tra le azioni del progetto “Rob.in – Robotica educativa inclusiva per minori con Bisogni Educativi Speciali” è stata promossa da ESCOOP e sostenuto dall’associazione Con i Bambini e si è articolata attraverso due distinte attività.
Ai più piccoli la possibilità di prendere dimestichezza con il makerbot, ovvero dei robottini che permettono di capire come funziona un motore, un collegamento, una batteria, dei sensori, scatti fotografici con annessa post-produzione semplice; mentre per i più grandi l’opportunità di approcciare ad attività riguardanti stampa 3D, prototipazione della forma, grafica, videomaking, utilizzo di game engine.
Il riscontro dei ragazzi più che positivo, vista la grande attenzione e l’interesse ad acquisire nuove informazioni e conoscenze che hanno dimostrato nel corso dei laboratori e che saranno certamente utili per il futuro
A seguirli Angelo Iaia l’esperto che ha guidato i Laboratori Digitali del Fab Lab.
Il progetto nasce con la finalità di agganciare i minori a rischio di abbandono scolastico precoce o in dispersione scolastica, in particolare minori con Bisogni Educativi Speciali, e le loro famiglie, attraverso le attività e le metodologie della Robotica educativa inclusiva per prenderli in carico e creare le condizioni per riportarli a scuola.
Le attività dei Laboratori Digitali rientravano nell’ambito delle attività estive per ragazzi realizzate al CERCAT.
«Lo scopo dei Laboratori Digitali – ha aggiunto Marco Sbarra, direttore di ESCOOP – è anche quello di non perdere i contatti con i ragazzi che meno possibilità hanno nel periodo estivo, per accompagnarli poi a settembre, con la ripresa delle attività, in laboratori di sostegno scolastico, orientamento allo studio e al lavoro finalizzate al potenziamento delle competenze».

Having fun while learning, the goal of an involving and exciting project for young participants.
28 young people participated at the CERCAT of Cerignola, with free activities open to minors for middle and high schools.
The event, being part of the project “Rob.in – Educational and inclusive Robotics for minors with Special Educational Needs”, promoted by ESCOOP and supported by the Con i Bambini association; consisted of two different activities.
The younger ones could get familiar with marketbot, little robots that help understanding how engine, connections, battery, sensors, photographic shoots with simple post-production work. While the older ones had the opportunity to approach 3D printed activities, graphical shape prototyping, videomaking and using game engine.
A positive feedback from the young people, who showed great attention and interest in acquiring new information and knowledge during the different laboratories and that will definitely be useful for their future.
The expert Angelo Iaia followed them and led the Fab Lab Digital Laboratories.
The project has the goal of identifying minors with a high risk of early school leaving, especially minors with Special Educational Needs and their families and through activities and Inclusive educational robotics methods they aim at creating the right conditions to bring them back to school.
The ESCOOP director Marco Sbarra affirms: “Digital Lab aims at not loosing contact with young people that in summer period have less possibilities, assisting them with school support workshops, study and work guidance focused on skills enhancement”.
